Eastridge Elementary school is using our business, Challenge Island, to provide after school care/enrichment classes to children K-6th grade. We are in need of a few assistants to help with the wonderfully fun program we provide, teaching science, tech, engineering and math using kitschy island themes where children are placed in tribes, complete with buffs and face paint, and then the tribes tackle various challenges we provide each week. We might teach potential and kinetic energy while challenging them to build roller coasters or make a parachute with garbage bags, string and straws, and dropping an egg off heights to see if their chutes really work. Every challenge provides each tribe the opportunity to design and build without adult interference. However they do need adults to help them stay focused and engaged. Training is on the job, and no credentialing is required other than background checks. We also have jobs at Woodin Elementary and Moorlands Elementary. Starts immediately! Wednesdays from 2 until 4 pm.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
